Financial Advisor Lite
Make your money go further with this financial
calculator
Financial Advisor Lite enables you to analyse
certain areas of your spending and savings to help you make
money in the long run. When you first run the program you'll
be invited to register it to remove the nag screen and receive
free technical support with the program, which we recommend
doing.
Get planning
There are five main sections to Financial Advisor Lite,
all accessed using the buttons on the main screen. The house
button is the mortgage advisor, and enables you to see how interest
rates and different mortgage repayments would affect your mortgage.
Only the first tab is available in the Lite version, and it's
covered in more depth in the walkthrough below.
Use the Investment tab (money bags icon) to calculate
how much you could expect from various ways of saving. The Investment,
Future Value and Inflation tabs are all available in this version.
The Percentage tab features some useful calculators for interest
rates, plus shows you how quickly you money will double depending
on the interest rate you enter.
The next tab is the Retirement tab - use this
to work out how much you'll need to be saving in order to live
at a certain level when you retire. You'll also find an Education
Advisor tab to help you work out how best to save for your children's
future education needs.
The final tab is the the 'Get Richer' screen (Crystal
Ball icon), which features two tabs that enable you to make
savings by calculating how much you'd make by investing a portion
of your monthly salary or by increasing your mortgage repayments
so your mortgage is paid off earlier. Just enter the figures
requested and Financial Advisor Lite will do the calculations
for you.
You can save and load previous calculations in
the program so you don't have to enter everything by scratch
again, and if things are really desperate click the Lottery
button (die icon) and hope the program can pick you winning
numbers for your lottery tickets!
